Sleeping Beauty
One day, there was a King and Queen who, after many years, finally had a lovely baby girl. Because they were so happy, they planned the biggest celebration the kigdom had ever seen. Three fairies were invited, and each of them gave the baby princess a special gift. “You shall be beautiful and kind,” said the first fairy waving her wand. “You shall have sweet singing voice,” said the second fairy. The third fairy spoke: “I cannot remove the surse, but I can change it.” The King at once ordered all the spinning wheels in the kingdom to be burned. The Princess grew up to be a beautiful young lady. One the day of her sixteenth birthday, she found a secret staircase in the castle. It led to a room where an old woman was at a spinning wheel. The Prince found the sleeping Princess at last. He gently kissed her and the spell was broken. She woke up. Soon there was another big celebration. This time it was the royal wedding of the Prince and Princess.
